Abortion

I was in the hospital one afternoon when a man rushed in his pregnant wife. As his wife was taken into the labor room, I watched him pace restlessly. All I could read all over him was a man who could not wait to be a father and it was a sight I enjoyed. I was still in that mood when another girl rushed into the hospital in the pool of her own accompanied by her mother. I deduced later from a nurse that she had a failed abortion. I was stunned.
This brings me to the disheartening issue of ABORTION and it saddens me to see that the massacre of unborn children is something that has become rampant in the world today.
My encounter at the hospital led me to watch a video clipse on abortion and I discovered that an instrument called UTERINE CURETTE is used to scrape the wall of the mother’s womb and dislodge the child. Once that is done, a chemical is inserted into the heart of the baby to reduce its chances of living. Then, an instrument that looks like a scissors but functions like a plier named the FORCEPS is inserted into the vagina to grasp and collapse the skull of the baby, after which it is used to remove the dead baby through the vagina. To complete the process, an EMBRYOTOMY SCISSORS is used to cut the head, arms and legs of the baby.
The video clipse was brutal and the only question I could ask is; “why would someone do this”? Why will someone kill a baby for a crime he is not guilty of?.
Picking up the argument of those who claim abortion can’t and should not be considered as murder because it is still a foetus and not human, I stand to argue that there is a soul building in them and a future set in place for them. They have heads, arms, legs and even a heart. What more could make one human? I grew up in a generation where we saw children as special gifts from God but I am now faced with a generation where children are seen as distractions. Let us get something straight, there are times evacuation is advised medically and it is good we understand that in situations like this, it is done in order to save the life of the mother. In short, there is a difference between an evacuation and an abortion.
Let us define a murderer. A murderer as somebody who kills another with great violence and brutality (Oxford Dictionary). To be honest, I am not preaching against pre-marital sex or family planning but when it ends up in the negative, should a completely innocent soul be made to bear the consequences of our mistake? There are several consequences of abortion which include; bleeding, the rupture of the womb, guilt and death.
The above explains abortion would lead to the same end, DEATH! This makes me point to the fact that there is no difference between a murderer and an abortionist. However, it is not just the doctor and mother guilty of that crime, but every accomplice is found guilty of the same crime.
Children are the future, children are the hope and children are the tomorrow. The more we kill them, the closer our nation is headed towards destruction. We should note that the attitude of each of us is a strong determinant of what our country is and what it will become.
As we make crucial decisions, I implore we ask ourselves; AM I A MURDERER?
